Aroi Thai was a solid spot for a good meal. I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken, and it was packed with flavor just the right mix of sweet and savory. My friend went for the stir-fried combo (chicken, beef, and pork), which was tasty too. But the real winner was the eggplant curry super flavorful and just done so well. Portions were huge, so it was perfect for sharing. The place itself is small and quiet, which made for a nice, chill meal. Plus, the service was really friendly. Definitely a great spot if you’re craving Thai food!

This was my first time here so I cannot comment on consistency. However, I stopped here for an early dinner and had the drunken noodles #7 spicy. The portion size was good and the flavor was delicious. I have no complaints about my dish and would return. I also included a few photos of the menu.

I like Thai food so much. I used to go to Thailand often. This restaurant looks small, but very cozy. The taste is very good! Will come again!

Great service. Khao soi and Thai tea was delicious! Drunken noodles with tofu (didn’t get the egg) was just perfect and they can adjust the spice level. We loved the mango sticky rice (and it comes with two half mangoes to share). Highly recommend in you’re in La Jolla!

Aroi Thai is aroi (yummy) jing jing (truly)! It’s such a blast having authentic Thai food in the trendy downtown of San Diego—we’ve been in the States for three weeks and this was the most true-to-palate Asian meal I’ve had so far. Their Talay Kra Thiem with Kai Pow (shrimp, calmari, crabbbbbb) is amazingly portioned and so delicious. Vegetables could use a bit of sauteing with garlic but I’m not complaining. The tom yum soup hit all the right notes, and the texture of the drunken noodles was perfect. Here are some pictures before I licked my plate clean. Great service by our affable and personable restaurateur as well.

Great Thai and more moderately priced dinner option for La Jolla. Pangang curry with chicken and pineapple fried rice were phenomenal! Server was very friendly as well!
